Questions
What JSON can be converted to CSV?
An array of objects, like [{"name": "Asha"}, {"name": "Ravi"}]. Each object becomes a row and each key a column. Nested objects become columns with dot names, such as address.city. Arrays inside an object are kept as JSON text in one cell.
Why are CSV values kept as text?
So nothing is changed by accident. Converting "007" or a phone number like 09876543210 to a number would drop the leading zero, and long IDs would lose digits. Tick Convert numbers and true/false to turn plain numbers and true/false into JSON values. Values with leading zeros and very large integers stay as text even then.
Will the CSV open correctly in Excel?
Yes. The downloaded file starts with a UTF-8 marker, so Excel shows Hindi and other scripts properly. Values with commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted.
Are large numbers in JSON safe?
Yes. Numbers are copied to the CSV exactly as written, so 12345678901234567890 doesn't become 12345678901234567000. This relies on a recent browser feature. Older browsers may still round them.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The conversion and the download both happen in your browser.
