19 characters. Shorter text makes a simpler code that scans faster.
Logo in the middle (optional)
PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. Your image stays on your device.
How to use
- Type or paste text or a link. The QR code updates as you type.
- Choose an error correction level. Higher levels still scan when part of the code is dirty or covered, but make the code denser.
- Pick colours for the code and the background. Watch for the warning if the contrast is too low to scan.
- Optionally press Add a logo and pick an image. It goes in the middle of the code, and error correction switches to High so the code still scans.
- Choose a PNG size, then press Download PNG or Download SVG. SVG stays sharp at any size, which is best for print.
Questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The text or link is stored inside the code itself, not on a server, so it works for as long as the link does. There is no tracking and no redirect.
Which error correction level should I use?
Medium suits most uses. Choose High if the code will be printed small, get scuffed, or have a logo placed over it. Low makes the simplest code, which helps with long text.
Why does it warn about my colours?
Phone cameras need a strong difference between the code and the background. Below a contrast of about 4:1, many scanners fail. Light codes on dark backgrounds can also fail, because some scanners expect dark on light.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes. Press Add a logo and choose a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. The logo sits on a small plate in the background colour, and error correction is set to High, which lets the code be read even with part of it covered. Keep the logo small or medium for small prints, and always test the code with a phone before printing many copies.
PNG or SVG?
PNG works everywhere, including messaging apps and documents. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which is better for posters, packaging and print.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The code is drawn in your browser and the download is created on your device. A logo you add is read on your device too, and never uploaded.
